Syllabus

Oxford Home Schooling's French IGCSE course is designed to prepare students for the Edexcel IGCSE in French (4FR0) for first examination in June 2011. 

Assessment

Assessment is by two written examinations. Paper 1 (Listening) lasts 35 minutes and Paper 2 (Reading and Writing) lasts 1 hour 30 minutes.

Students can also be entered for the optional, separately assessed and separately endorsed speaking examination. This speaking examination, Paper 3, will be awarded separately from Paper 1 and Paper 2. The grade awarded for this optional assessment will be reported separately on the student's final certificate.

Course Structure

The OHS course is designed to match the Edexcel 4FR0 specification and is divided into five modules as follows:

• Day to day life
• Holidays and travel
• Modern life
• Speaking and Listening skills

There is also a CD designed to give you practice in your speaking and listening skills.
