Wendy Askam

I am a newly-retired Teacher with 38 years experience of teaching both A Level and GCSE Psychology. I am still an associate examiner and am co-author of the Psychology textbooks: "Psychology in Focus for AS Level" and "Psychology in Focus for A Level". I was also on the steering group that developed the latest Psychology GCSE. I teach with a focus on the exam and exam techniques and always ensure that my lessons are tailored to the needs of my students. Some students want interaction and to go beyond the confines of the specification, others just want to pass the exam and have the information explained clearly with examples and as little interaction as possible. It is up to you how many tutorials you have but I prefer to have one at the end of each module to give feedback on the tutor marked assignment, as a minimum. I am available during the day, as I am retired, and some evenings. I am passionate about Psychology and enjoy passing on that enthusiasm to my students.
