Geography IGCSE: Special Arrangements for 2022 examinations
Because of study-time lost to the Covid pandemic, there are some small modifications to the 2022 examinations (only). In 2022, you will not be required to answer questions on your own fieldwork experience. There will still be a Section B (Geographical Investigation) in each of your exams but questions 4-6 will refer to an unfamiliar fieldwork context, not your own fieldwork.
As it would be hard or impossible to answer these questions without some fieldwork experience of your own, we recommend that you undertake the same fieldwork exercises as you would in a normal exam year. But you may omit some of these exercises, at your discretion. But please discuss your tactics with your tutor and keep an eye on the Edexcel website for any later clarification of what is required.
